jrb-oct-2016-1J.R. Briggs’ passion is two-fold: to grow fruit on other people’s trees and to collaborate with others to create good kingdom mischief. He started Kairos Partnerships in 2011 to see these two passions come together in order to meet the needs of hungry kingdom leaders.

His role with Kairos Partnerships includes coaching, consulting, speaking, preaching, training and writing. These various expressions serve to equip a wide variety of leaders, pastors, church planters, churches, non-profits, ministries, companies, colleges, seminaries and denominations.

In addition to starting Kairos, he is the Founding Pastor of The Renew Community, a Jesus-centered congregation for the hungry and the hurting in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

He is an adjunct professor at Biblical Theological Seminary and as guest instructor with the Apprentice Institute at Friends University.

He also serves as the Director of Leadership & Congregational Formation for The Ecclesia Network and National Trainer & Equipper for Fresh Expressions U.S.

He is an author, co-author and contributor of nine books that seek to equip and care for kingdom leaders, including Fail: Finding Hope and Grace in the Midst of Ministry Failure, Eldership and the Mission of God (with Bob Hyatt), and Ministry Mantras (also with Bob Hyatt). He has also written dozens of articles intending to equip the Body of Christ to grow up into full formed maturity.

J.R. and his wife Megan have been married for over 15 years and have two sons, Carter and Bennett. They live in the heart of Lansdale, PA.
